what a smile. |
it’s a short 23 minute documentary and tribute to this young man, zach sobiech. if you watch it, make sure you have a few handfuls of tissues with you. it’s sad. zach had cancer and this is his story. his family and friends share in their love for this brave young man.
this is the hollywood tribute that was shown partially in the video.
it’s zach’s song.
it’ll be in my head and heart forever.
i am going to take the simple lesson that zach spoke of and be happy and make sure other’s are happy too. especially my family, my kids and me.
it is so easy to be complaisant, to take people for granted and allow yourself yo be stuck in ruts.Â
zach passed away yesterday, may 20th 2013, and from the sounds of it he left a lot of happiness and joy with all of his loved ones. that is a truly magnificent gift.
i hope i can one day do the same.
peace.Â

I heard this on the radio this morning, as he lives in my area, and has been a part of the radio station I listen to so have heard his song before. I teared up in the car listening to the radio hosts talk about their personal experience with him, and played clips with him from previous years…very sad, but a very powerful statement.
oh, that sounds like a very emotional moment.
zach sounds like he was an awesome fella! so glad he left this beautiful song to remember him by.
It is amazing how we just go through life some days and don’t really stop to think about what we do have and what is important. The recent {and growing} tragedies in Connecticut, Boston and now Oklahoma … makes you stop and realize that you need to tell your loved ones that they matter every day!

i agree, lanaya. there is great sadness, but we must also recognize the joy and the love that fills our days.
Oh this was heart-wrenching yet inspiring. A beautiful lesson taught by such a young man.
Thank you for sharing.
